Berry Fruit Crumbles
Fruit Crumbles Recipe
Filling (For 1 serving) - Make this three times for each different or just multiple the recipe by three and divide mixture by three. I was experimenting and ended up doing one by one.
Enough fruit to fill each ramekin ( I chose cherries, blueberry, and strawberries)
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp lemon
1/2 tbsp cornstarch (Depending on the water content of your fruit, strawberries should have a little more)
Crumble (For 3 crumbles)
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
4 tbsp butter
Bake 375 F Till golden or fruit spills.
Optional: Top with ice cream!
Tip: Fruits with more water like strawberries, add more cornstarch to absorb liquid after cooking.
This recipe is versatile, if you want more fruit, add more fruit, if you want more crumble, double the recipe.
It tastes even better when you mix all the fruits together.
You can add cinnamon to the filling.
Directions
1. Make the crumble topping, combine all the crumble ingredients until it looks light brown and crumbles.
2. Prepare the filling, remove the seeds, stems off fruits, and chop the fruits. Combine sugar, lemon, cornstarch, and nutmeg together. Mix it together in a bowl with one serving of fruit.
3. Add fruit into ramekin, and cover with crumble. Repeat with other fruits or serving.
4. Bake at 375 F until golden brown or juices from fruit flows out of crumbles.
Mix crumble together until it looks crumblley and brown like this. |
